have helped to raise over £15,000 for MIND, the mental health charity.

We take our corporate and social responsibility seriously, understanding that our activities have an impact on both the environment and the economy. We work with local charities and give back to the local community as well as regularly reviewing our practices and procedures to ensure that our business is environmentally and ethically sound.
Environment:
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and we actively encourage the use of public transport for carrying out our business whenever possible. We recycle over 90% of the waste collected which is not burnt or sent to landfill and in addition, all the paper we use in the printers is FSC approved and thus sourced responsibly. We have a number of green initiatives around the use and re-use of computer and printing equipment, including night-time shut-down and the recycling of old equipment and ink cartridges with local charities.
Philanthropy:
We have organised events that helped to raise money for local charities such as Lighthouse Community, Headway and Macmillan via the Deben Challenge, as well as national charities including Teenage Cancer Trust and MIND. Staff have also worked pro bono at local charities and community groups helping users gain new skills.
We participate in UCS internship programmes providing students and graduates with invaluable office experience, workplace skills and business connections as well as making presentations and taking part in interactive work groups with students. We encourage students with their (insurance) dissertation research and facilitate access to potential employers and technical training.
